To provide, establish, grant, maintain, control and manage schools for the children of transferable employees of the Government of India, floating population and others residing in remote and underdeveloped places in the country, hereinafter referred to as ‘Kendriya Vidyalayas’ and to do all acts and things necessary for providing conducive atmosphere in the schools.
